CookBuddy vs Paprika

Paprika is a dependable web clipper with meal planning. CookBuddy is for cooks who save recipes from videos and do not want to rewind, screenshot, or lose them when a post disappears.

Paprika 3 pulls structured recipes from food websites, then adds meal planning, grocery lists, and a pantry tracker. You pay once per platform. That works if you cook from blogs and already plan the week in the app.

What Paprika does not do is turn a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or Pinterest video into a written recipe. If that is how you find food, you are still pausing, writing it down, or hoping the post is still there next month.

CookBuddy is built for that gap. Paste a link or upload a photo. You get ingredients, equipment, and steps in your CookBook. If the original video is deleted, the saved recipe stays.

CookBuddy does not replace Paprika’s meal planning or pantry tools. Those are not in the app today. If you use those every week, keep Paprika for planning and use CookBuddy for video recipes, or wait for the roadmap.
