How it works
From a link to a recipe you can cook
CookBuddy takes a link to a cooking video, social media post, or website and turns it into a written recipe you can save, organize, and cook from.
- 1
Find a recipe you want to keep
Come across a cooking video, social post, or recipe webpage you like. CookBuddy works with TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and websites. Copy the link, or share the post straight to CookBuddy on your phone.
- 2
Add the link to CookBuddy
Open CookBuddy and start a new recipe. Paste the URL into the add-recipe field. That one link is all CookBuddy needs to get started.
- 3
CookBuddy gathers the original content
Behind the scenes, CookBuddy reads the video, captions, or webpage attached to that link so it can work from the original recipe instead of asking you to transcribe it by hand.
- 4
It turns that content into a written recipe
CookBuddy converts what it found into a structured digital recipe: a complete ingredients list, step-by-step instructions, optional equipment, and a link back to the original video or site.
- 5
Save it to your Cookbook and cook from it
The finished recipe is stored in your Cookbook, ready to check off as you cook. It stays there even if the original video or webpage later disappears.
That is the whole flow. One link in. A digital recipe out, kept in your Cookbook.
